High Performance NTC Thermsitor ATH10KR8B

ATH10KR8B series NTC thermsitors are the replacement part of our ATH10KR8B, which has stopped production already. This new NTC thermistor comes with three versions, ATH10KR8B, ATH10KR8BT65, and ATH10KR8BT65S.

All the three versions are glass encapsulated NTC thermistors. The first thermsitor has two bare copper coated lead wires. The second one has two leads covered with plastic tubing for insulation purpose. The last one is the upgraded version of the second one, i.e., it is sealed between the plastic tubing and the thermistor head for anti-moisture purpose, which can be used in non-corrosive liquid. Users can choose one according to specific requirements.

The nominal resistance at 25°C is 10k, and the length of the two lead wires is 65mm. The diameter of the thermistor head is 0.8mm*1.4mm, very small and compact. This NTC thermistor comes with a wide temperature range, from −55°C to 250°C.

To build a stable and accurate temperature measurement system, use this NTC thermistor with TEC controller, TEC moduleand heat sink, etc.

Laser Controller Laser Diode Driver ATLS200MA103

ATLS200MA103 is laser driver with compact size and low noise, which is designed for driving laser diodes. The noise is very low, 2.5µVP-P at 0.1Hz to 10Hz.

This laser driver has many features, i.e., it comes with a high absolute accuracy, <0.1%, and high stability, <100ppm/°C. This laser driver doesn’t need heat sink for heat dissipation, since it generates little heat, <1W. This laser diode driver is packaged in a enclosure which blocks EMIs from outside. Moreover, this laser driver comes with a overheat protection function. When the temperature of the laser driver exceeds 120°C, the driver will shut down itself automatically to prevent the laser driver from being damaged. In order to meet different mounting requirements, this laser driver has two packaging versions, DIP package and SMT package. The former version can be evaluated easily by our evaluation board, ATLS1A103DEV1.0. The physical photo of this laser driver is in below.

Laser Controller Laser Diode Driver ATLS100MA103

Laser driver is also called laser controller, laser diode driver, which is designed and used for driving diode lasers. The laser drivers of Analog Technologies, Inc are featured compact size, high efficiency, low noise and RoHS compliant. ATLS100MA103 is one of 103 series laser drivers.

This laser driver, ATLS100MA103, outputs 1.5V to 4V when it is powered by a 5V input voltage. The maximum output current of this laser driver is 100mA with ultra low noise, 1.5μVP-P at a frequency of 0.1Hz to 10Hz. Since the power consumption of the laser driver is as low as <1W, any heat sinks are not necessary during normal operation. There are two packages available, DIP and SMT packages. DIP type laser driver is mostly for experiment and can be removed easily and SMT type laser driver can be soldered into the PCB, so it works more stably, but it’s hard to remove. The photo below is the physical photo of this laser driver.

Negative Temperature Coefficient NTC Thermsitor

NTC is short for Negative temperature coefficient, which refers to semiconductor or components with high negative temperature coefficient. Therefore, the so-called NTC thermistor is the thermistor with high negative coefficient temperature.

NTC thermistor is made up of metallic oxides, such as manganese, cobalt, and copper, and made by using ceramic technology. These metallic oxide materials have semiconductor property, since they are similar to the semiconductors such as germanium and silicon, in electric conducting modes. When the temperature is low, the quantity of charge carriers of metallic oxides is not high, so the resistance of the material is high; when the temperature rises, the carrier quantity increases, so the resistance becomes low. The resistance of NTC thermistor changes between 100 and 100,000 ohm with the temperature coefficient of -2%~-6.5%. NTC thermistors can be widely used in temperature measurement, temperature compensation, surge current suppression, temperature control, etc.

NTC thermistor can work with our TEC controller, TEC module and heat sink in order to build a highly stable and accurate temperature measurement and control system.

The History of NTC Thermistors

NTC thermistor refers to thermistors with negative temperature coefficient. When the temperature rises, the resistance of NTCthermistors will decrease, and when the temperature falls, the resistance will increase.

The development of NTC thermistor has been through a long period of time. In 1834, scientists found that silver sulfide has negative temperature coefficient property for the first time. Then in 1930, cuprous oxide and cupric oxide are found by scientists to have negative temperature coefficient property, which has been applied in temperature compensation network of aeronautical instruments. After that, the research on NTC thermistors achieves major development due to the continuous development of transistor technology. In 1960, NTC thermistors are developed.

ATI provides various types of NTC thermistors, including glass encapsulated NTC thermistor, and NTC thermistor assembly with a ring lug for easy mounting. The thermsitors all come with a compact size.

NTC thermistor can work with our TEC controller, TEC module and heat sink in order to build a highly stable and accurate temperature measurement and control system.

Thermoelectric Cooler Peltier Cooler ATE1-31

Peltier cooler ATE1-31 has 31 pairs of Peltier elements, with two ceramic plates and two lead wires of different colors. The maximum voltage is 3.9V, and the maximum current is variable due to the height of the Peltier elements. There are several models in this series.

For example, ATE1-31-1ASH, 31 represents 31 pairs of Peltier elements; 1A stands for the maximum current; S is for sealed between the two ceramic plates of the TEC; H means the TEC module has high operating temperature, up to 200°C. The maximum temperature difference the TEC modules can achieve is from 62°C to 75.5°C. All the TEC modules in this series is single stage TEC, if higher temperature difference is needed, two or multiple stages TECs are needed, you can contact us for customized TECs.

The photo below shows a TEC in this series. The red lead wire is positive and the negative is the black wire.

Thermoelectric Cooler Peltier Cooler ATE1-17

ATE1-17 series of Peltier coolers come with 17 pairs of Peltier elements, with a maximum input voltage of 2.2V. There are two insulated lead wires, one is red for positive and the other is black for negative, as shown in the photo below.

The TEC module comes with two ceramic plates for easy mounting. The Peltier cooler can be soldered to the target object andheat sink, or mounted by using thermal conductive pad or epoxy. To achieve best cooling effect, soldering is recommended, but it is not convenient to remove it from the object. There are several models in this TEC module series, such as ATE1-17-1.9A and ATE1-17-3AS. For the former, 1.9A is the maximum current allowed to go through the TEC, and for the latter, it is 3A. In the part number of the latter, there is a “S” at the end, it stands for sealed between the two ceramic plates of the TEC. And the former is a non-sealed TEC modules.

Thermoelectric Cooler Peltier Cooler ATE1-07

Peltier cooler ATE1-07 has 7 pairs of Peltier elements, with a maximum input voltage of 0.9V. The size of this series TEC modules is small, less than 10mm. There are two ceramic plates on the both side of the TEC module.

Take one TEC module as an example, ATE1-07-3AS, 1 refers to single stage TEC; 07 stands for 7 pairs of Peltier elements; 3A is the maximum current allowed to go through the TEC; S means sealed between the two ceramic plates of the TEC module, without this S in the part number, it is a non-sealed version.
